NOVA Introduces Two New Robotic Bag Placers

NOVA Packaging has introduced two new robotic bag placing systems to their extensive line-up of packaging automation equipment.

The Series VBP-20 is designed to place valve style bags on all types of valve bag fillers at rates up to 20 BPM. Depending on spout centers and fill speeds, up to (4) spouts can be fed from a single robotic arm. Empty bag magazines come in both horizontal and vertical configurations. The VBP-20 can be retrofitted to most existing valve bag fillers, or be engineered into a totally automatic bagging and palletizing line. The Series 2200P and Series 2200S are robotic arm systems designed to place and seal open mouth bags in both gross weigh and net weigh applications.

The Series 2200P picks bags up from an integrated empty bag magazine and places them onto the spout of a net weigh, or gross weigh scale system. The Series 2200S, then forms the bag gussets and feeds them into the bag closing system. The units can be designed to work together, or as a retrofit to existing bag filling and semi-automatic bag placer systems. The Series 2200 system accommodates most all styles of open mouth bags at rates up to 22 BPM.
